These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of stijnvanaardenne.com and any purchases made through this website. By accessing or using the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Products
We design and produce floor lamps, wall lamps, table lamps and design objects, created in small batches in the Netherlands. Many items are handmade, 3D-printed and produced to order.
1.1 Made-to-order works
Made-to-order products require a production time of 4–6 weeks. Lead times are estimates and may vary depending on production conditions.
1.2 Ready-made works
Ready-made items ship within 7 days unless otherwise stated.
1.3 Uniqueness & variations
Some products are unique; others have small natural variations in texture, pattern or color due to the production process. These variations are not considered defects.
2. Pricing & Payments
Prices shown on the website may include or exclude VAT depending on the buyer’s location.
The correct calculation will appear at checkout.
We accept:
iDEAL, Credit Card, PayPal, Bancontact, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfer.
Prices may change without prior notice. The price shown at the moment of purchase is final.
3. Shipping
3.1 General
We ship worldwide from Rotterdam, NL.
3.2 Shipping Times
Ready-made items: 7 days
Made-to-order items: 4–6 weeks
3.3 Carriers
Shipments are handled by various carriers. UPS is typically used for insured international shipments.
3.4 Customs & Import Fees
International orders may be subject to local customs duties, VAT or import fees.
These costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
We cannot predict or control these charges.
4. Damage, Lost Shipments & Issues
If your order arrives damaged or incomplete, please notify us as soon as possible and within 7 days of delivery, including photos of the item and packaging.
We will review the situation and arrange repair, replacement or another appropriate solution.
5. Returns & Refunds
5.1 Return window
You may request a return within 30 days of delivery.
Items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging.
5.2 Exclusions
The following items cannot be returned:
Made-to-order works
Custom works
Items damaged by improper use or incorrect installation
5.3 Return shipping
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless a mistake or damage was caused by us.
Refunds are issued after receiving and inspecting the returned item.
6. Warranty
We offer a 24-month warranty on manufacturing defects (electrical components, structural integrity).
Not covered:
Damage caused by improper installation
Incorrect voltage or electrical connection
External factors (water damage, falling, improper handling, modifications)
Normal wear or cosmetic changes
If an issue arises, please contact us to discuss repair or replacement.
7. Safety, Compliance & Certification
All works are assembled using CE-certified electrical components, including LED drivers, wiring, connectors and LED sources.
Because each piece is produced in small batches or made-to-order, the complete product is not individually CE-certified and should be regarded as an artistic design object with functional lighting.
Installation by a qualified electrician is recommended, especially for hardwired wall and ceiling fixtures.
8. Intellectual Property
All designs, photos, product names, descriptions and all other content on this website are the intellectual property of Stijn van Aardenne.
They may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or customs.
Our total liability is limited to the purchase amount of the relevant item.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of The Netherlands.
Any disputes will be handled by the competent court in Rotterdam, unless EU consumer law requires otherwise.
11. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or inability to fulfill an order due to events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, transport disruptions, shortages of materials, strikes or global shipping issues.
