My work grows from process. Using recycled plastics and large-scale 3D printing, each piece is finished by hand. Inviting light and reflection, rhythm and repetition.

Maze Lamp - Floor

Maze Lamp – Floor

Meet the Maze Lamp’s larger sibling. Standing just over one meter tall, it has the ability to softly illuminate any space with its dimmable light source.

Each Maze Lamp begins with its own unique pattern, printed on a rotating axis using an industrial-scale 3D printer. The structure is made from recycled plastic, partly derived from shredded refrigerators.

Outer shell 3D-printed in recycled plastic using a rotary-axis printing process.
Integrated dimmable custom LED light source with soft start (50,000 hours).
230V EU plug or 110V US plug (other plug types available on request).

Dimensions: approx. 16 cm diameter × 102 cm height
Weight: 8 kg

Lead time: ships within 4-5 weeks.

2024 - Recycled plastic, stainless steel
Dimensions Ø16 × 102 cm

Former Aperture - Pendant
€2,700.00

Former Aperture

Originally conceived as Aperture, a design exploring rhythm and openings, this piece emerged from a transparent material test. What began as an experiment revealed a new presence.

In this version, light is no longer framed by the form — it becomes the form. Each printed segment builds upon the next, layering depth, reflection, and motion.

Former Aperture marks a shift from solidity to translucency, from object to atmosphere.

3D-printed translucent structure.
Integrated dimmable LED light source (2700K).
LED driver supplied as required.

Dimensions: Ø14 × 150 cm
Weight: 10 kg

Lead time: ships within 4–6 weeks.

Stijn van Aardenne, born in Dordrecht, Netherlands, has been drawn to mechanics and making from a young age — dismantling objects, repairing things, and learning alongside his father while working on cars. This early fascination with how things are built gradually shaped his path toward studying Graphic Design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
Over the years, his growing interest in technology and material experimentation led him to develop his own machines, including large-format 3D printers. This shift opened the way into object and lighting design, where process, repetition, and the possibilities of recycled materials became central to his practice.
Today, his work is defined by a focus on systems and structures — building tools, shaping materials, and allowing forms to emerge through method and iteration. Each project reflects a continuous search for new orientations: patterns, layers, and expressions not yet seen, guided by a belief that innovation grows through making..
